Somatic MEP is looking for an experienced

Electrical Foreman

to join our electrical division. We are experiencing fantastic growth, and want you to grow along with us.

The majority of the work is in Vancouver, though we do serve the entire lower mainland. A quality, fitted out van will be provided.

Job Summary:

As the Foreman, you will play a crucial role in the daily oversight and management of our on-site projects. You will lead a team of skilled workers, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and within budget and schedule constraints. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety on the site. You will be reporting directly to our Electrical Superintendent.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the daily tasks of the on-site electrical crew to maintain efficient workflow and high productivity Collaborate with supervisors, other trades, and subcontractors to ensure projects are executed on time and effectively. Handle the ordering, management, and organization of materials. Resolve issues through problem-solving, troubleshooting, and conflict resolution. Maintain accurate project documentation, including as-builts and redlines. Implement and enforce safety measures in compliance with WorkSafe BC regulations. Ensure all electrical work adheres to our quality standards and complies with project specifications, codes, and regulations.

Required to use tools.

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience as an electrical foreman in a commercial setting.

Demonstrated ability to complete projects on schedule and within budget.

Valid Red Seal accreditation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities. Strong commitment to safety, a positive attitude, and a blend of technical skills, work experience, and academic knowledge. Proficiency in service, maintenance, and troubleshooting. FSR certification is a plus. Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office is beneficial. Ability to work independently, with or without supervision, and manage time effectively. Valid Driver's License with a clean record and no restrictions, along with personal hand tools (all task-specific power tools and PPE will be provided).

You will be provided a new fitted-out Sprinter van.

Wage:

$45.00 - $54.00 (Commensurate with experience)
