Summary: This position involves the supervision of Team Member activities on shift to ensure that Wendys\xe2\x80\x99 standards around people, product, cleanliness and exceptional customer service are fulfilled. Qualifications:
Previous experience in a supervisory role is an asset.
Previous experience in a customer service role.
Thorough knowledge of Wendys products and procedures.
Current certification in approved food safety training (ex. ServSafe) is an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adhere to policies and procedures.
Able to operate effectively in a fast paced environment.
Capable of multi-tasking.
Be self-motivated, requiring little supervision.
Have a positive Team-player attitude.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead by example to demonstrate that the customer is top priority.
Maintain optimal customer service levels by aiding when and where needed and ensuring customers are served in a friendly, timely manner and resolving customer complaints and turning negative situations into positive ones.
Upon request, conducts regular store walk-throughs.
React immediately to issues requiring attention during the shift.
Provide on-going specific direction to all Team Members.
Encourage excitement and a fun work environment while motivating Team Members to meet store goals.
Display knowledge of and works in compliance with Wendys operating, food safety, security, health and safety, and employment standards and applicable legislation.
Ensures that all product and packaging is properly merchandised and stocked.
Maintains operational efficiency through use of positioning charts and pre-rush checklists.
Supervises Team Members to ensure primary and secondary duties are completed.
Ensure all store policies are followed during the shift (Ex: cash policies, meal and break policies, food safety policies).
Completes all required shift documentation (ex: records waste).
Other duties as required.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires long periods of standing. As well, this position requires a significant amount of bending and turning of the wrist.
Lifting and reaching requirements are listed below:
- For stocking purposes (paper, product, cooler) - items weighing between 2 and 60 pounds.
Reaching across shelves which is approximately a 3 foot reach.
- Bending and stretching into the showcases - approximately 2 feet. - Filling showcases - must be able to carry a full tray of product - approximately 10 pounds.
Must be able to repetitively pour coffee from a coffee pot which when full, weighs approximately 5 pounds.
When standing at front counter or beverage station, must be able to bend and reach packaging materials, which involves an approximate 1 foot reach.
- For preparation and stocking purposes - must be able to reach the back of the shelves in the walk-in fridge and freezer. To reach is approximately 3 feet in depth.
Must be able to lift and carry cases of tomatoes weighing approximately 25 pounds.
Must be able to lift a pot of soup weighing approximately 15 pounds and carry it for a distance of approximately 2 feet.
Must be able to reach to the back of the storefront sandwich fridge. The approximate reach is 2 \xc2\xbd feet.
Must be able to repetitively use the cash which involves pushing buttons with your fingers and counting back cash.
Food and Safety:
Conducts daily cleaning functions such as washing surfaces, floors, equipment and maintaining the tidiness of the store.
Must be able to reach into the 3-Compartment dish sink. The depth of each sink is approximately 3 feet.
Must be able to reach the drying shelf over the 3-Compartment dish sink. The approximate reach to the shelf is 3 feet.
Must be able to use a knife to cut sandwiches and bagels.
Must be able to use a tomato tamer to cut tomatoes and cucumbers.
Follows weekly cleaning schedule such as dismantling, cleaning and reassembling equipment, and cleaning fridges to ensure a clean work area.
Uses the principles of sanitation (Wash, Rinse, and Sanitize) daily, throughout shift.
Rotates product using the FIFO (First In, First Out) system.
Consistently takes temperatures, ensuring hot foods are kept hot, and cold foods are kept cold.
Health and Safety:
Complies with all health and safety requirements such as lifting, knife safety, wet floor procedures, chemical procedures and hot oven safety.
Must be able to lift supplies down from shelves which are at different heights, depending on the layout of the store and provincial/state regulations.
Reports any unsafe equipment immediately to management.
Organization of Area:
Organizes and maintains staff levels to meet demands.
Organizes and maintains cleanliness of workstation.
Informs store manager of supplies required.
Checks the storage, rotation and freshness of soup, sandwich and bagel items.
Organizes day to ensure that daily deadlines are met for peak sales times.
Ensures end-of-shift duties are completed including paperwork and cash procedures.
