Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Food Service Cook to join our team at our high school cafeteria. As a cook, you will play a vital role in providing nutritious and delicious meals to our students and staff.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, following the school calendar (off for Christmas and all other school holidays)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to the school\'s menu and recipes
- Ensure that all meals are prepared and presented in a safe, hygienic, and timely manner
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Collaborate with cafeteria staff to plan and coordinate daily menu offerings
- Monitor and record food inventory and report any shortages or discrepancies
- Maintain clean and organized workstations and kitchen equipment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Provide excellent customer service to students and staff
- Follow special dietary needs or restrictions as necessary
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food service/cooking role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- High School Diploma or

**Duration: ** until June 30 2023
**Hours: ** Weekly 40 hours, up to 44 hours
**Salary: ** The Food Service Worker will receive a fixed salary of $27,788.00 payable every 2 weeks (biweekly) including school closures, vacation, etc.
**Terms and Conditions: **
1. **Working Hours: ** The Food Service Worker will be expected to work a standard 40-hour workweek, with the possibility of working up to 44 hours per week as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
2. **Salary: ** The fixed salary will be provided regardless of the number of hours worked within the specified range (40-44 hours per week).
3. **Contract Duration: ** This employment contract will be in effect starting immediately and ending on June 30th, 2024.
