Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Food Bank Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients in a fast paced environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, compassion, empathy, strong communication skills, and ease working in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Processing clients and registering them in our database in a comforting and accepting environment Assist clients in navigating options to prevent food insecurity Light Lifting (up to 30lbs) Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and provide support as needed. Address client complaints or issues promptly and escalate them when necessary.
Experience
Volunteer or work experience in a food bank or with vulnerable peoples an asset Food Handlers an asset but not required First Aid an asset Grocery Store experience an acceptable equivalency
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.70 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 24 per week
