Conveniently located just one block from City Hall train station.THE ROLE: F&B Team Leads contribute to the overall success of the hotel by assisting in the supervision of the Food & Beverage Department, providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service to guests in our food & beverage outlets, meeting rooms, and in-room dining, while maximising sales and guest satisfaction.THE BENEFITS: As a full-time role, this role is eligible for employer-paid extended health care after 6 months, free staff meals, discounted room rates through the Go Hilton travel program, and participation in the employee referral program.KEY ACTIVITIES: The duties and responsibilities for F&B Team Leads include, but are not limited to the following: Greet and seat outlets guests as required. Table check dining guests to enquire about quality & service in Restaurant & Lounge. Upsell established menu items or features to maximize food & beverage revenues. Serve menu items to guests and clear and maintain tables in a prompt and courteous manner and according to established service standards. Supervise and assist in the set-up of banquet space to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Assist in training of new team members and development of existing team members. Assist with and ensure opening and closing duties are completed to standard by all team members. Assist in customer / guest service scores / success through driving programs such as table checks, service recovery, high quality food taste / presentation. Hold pre-function meetings with banquet team to review specific needs of each group including service procedures, set ups, menus, order of service, and any special requests. Review event orders with clients, respond quickly to last minute changes, answer questions to guest's satisfaction, review guest check and obtain signatures as needed. Make suggestions for improvement in overall operations with emphasis on increasing guest satisfaction and reducing costs. Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and standards. Ensure good safety practices of employees and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING: 3+ years of food & beverage front of house experience is required, previous banquet experience preferred, previous leadership experience an asset. Natural leadership (mentorship, team-building) and guest service focus Strong communication, organizing, and multi-tasking skills Flexibility to keep a work schedule that meets the fluctuating business levels of a hotel (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays). Completion of High School, GED or equivalent required. Diploma or degree from a recognized hospitality program an asset Completion of High School, GED or equivalent required.
