We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, customer service, and retail sales. This role involves creating beautiful floral arrangements, assisting customers, managing inventory, and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the shop. The Florist will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction through expert floral solutions and personalized assistance.

Responsibilities

Designing and assembling floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, funerals, and special events Assisting customers in selecting flowers and related products, providing expert advice on floral care and design options Operating POS systems for sales transactions, handling cash and credit card payments accurately Managing inventory levels of flowers, plants, and supplies; restocking shelves as needed Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop, including display areas and workstations Engaging in merchandising efforts to promote seasonal flowers and special offers Supporting landscape maintenance tasks if applicable, including plant care and garden upkeep Utilizing e-commerce platforms to process online orders and coordinate delivery or pickup arrangements Providing excellent customer service through effective communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus Assisting with cash handling procedures accurately during transactions Participating in ongoing training to stay current with floral trends, horticulture practices, and retail sales techniques

Skills

Strong knowledge of horticulture, gardening, and landscape maintenance practices Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and retail sales operations Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous Proven customer service skills with the ability to engage clients effectively Organizational skills to manage inventory, merchandising displays, and order processing efficiently Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for online sales management Ability to work creatively within floral design while adhering to customer specifications Knowledge of merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and sales performance

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
