Job Overview

As a Flooring Sales Associate, you will be the driving force behind our customers' flooring and other home project dreams! Your passion for design and keen understanding of high-end products will empower you to create stunning spaces that resonate with our clients. You'll engage with customers both in-store and through outside sales, guiding them through the selection process while showcasing your expertise in renovation and interior design. Your ability to communicate effectively and build relationships will be key to your success in this dynamic role.

What you'll do

Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and recommending flooring solutions that fit their style and budget. Conduct product demonstrations and assist customers with layout design, ensuring they feel confident in their choices. Utilize SketchUp and CAD software to create visual representations of flooring Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction. Manage account relationships, ensuring follow-ups and support throughout the renovation or remodeling process. Collaborate with team members on merchandising strategies to enhance product displays and drive retail sales. Handle cash transactions accurately, maintaining a high level of organization in cash handling and cashiering duties. Stay informed about industry trends, lighting design, and construction techniques to provide knowledgeable insights to customers.

Experience

Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or inside sales within the home improvement or flooring industry is preferred. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful high-end sales. Familiarity with renovation processes, construction terminology, and interior design principles is essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele; multilingual abilities are highly valued. Solid understanding of retail math principles to assist in pricing strategies and inventory management. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for stocking products and maintaining store appearance.
