Overview of Position:

JOB LOCATION: BEAUSEJOUR, MB

We are searching for an individual to join our Finishing Carpenter team to fill the role of Flooring Installer. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail and will be responsible for installing various flooring materials, repairing, and maintaining flooring surfaces in residential and commercial units.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and prepare surfaces - grind subfloor flat and apply patching. Measure, cut, and position flooring materials, including vinyl and LVP - residential and commercial. Install flooring using appropriate tools and techniques, adhesives and roller for vinyl. Install rubber base & cove capping Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure it meets high-quality standards. Reading blueprints and detailed specs Operating and maintaining carpentry tools and equipment Keeping a daily log of tasks Contributing and participating in the effective use of the Quality Control System Understanding and complying with all Policies and Procedures

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate well with staff at all levels within the organization. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, including verbal and written. Working in a team environment or with minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Flooring Installer/Finishing Carpenter role. Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance. Knowledge of various flooring materials and installation techniques. Knowledge of workplace safety, safe lifting, handling procedures, safe operation of basic hand and power tools, and operating required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Schedule:

Work conditions:

Ability to lift 75+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, working with tools and lumber, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise.
