Key Responsibilities:
Accurately
cut, trim, fillet, and portion
different types of fish according to company and customer specifications.
Inspect fish for
quality, freshness, and defects
before processing.
Operate and maintain
cutting tools, knives, and equipment
safely and efficiently.
Follow standard operating procedures for
handling, cleaning, and storing seafood products
.
Maintain
cleanliness and sanitation
of work areas and equipment in compliance with
HACCP and food safety regulations
.
Ensure proper
labeling and weighing
of processed fish.
Work efficiently in a
fast-paced, cold environment
while meeting production targets.
Report any equipment malfunctions or product quality issues to supervisors.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum
1 3 years of experience
in fish cutting or seafood processing.
Proven background in the
seafood industry
(processing, wholesale, or retail).
Strong
knife skills
and knowledge of
different cutting techniques
(filleting, skinning, deboning, portioning).
Understanding of
food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
.
Ability to work in a
cold, wet environment
and handle raw seafood products.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to
stand for long periods
and
lift up to 50 lbs
.
Preferred:
Experience with
industrial fish processing equipment
.
Knowledge of
various fish species and yields
.
