POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator who is curious, passionate, and loves the challenge of improving people’s lives. You’ll be making an impact on over 2,500 BDC employees by collaborating with a fun and close-knit team, and will have a key role in carrying out and communicating our D&I initiatives and supporting BDC’s employee experience & learning. Some of your key roles include maintaining communication and collaboration between the Learning team and the Diversity & Inclusion team, and supporting the Diversity Leadership Council meetings, Employee Resource Groups, and relevant diversity and inclusion events or programming.
You will also get to organize and host live virtual trainings as a technical support resource, collaborate with internal partners in deploying learning programs and talent initiatives, and coordinate different Learning, as well as Talent Initiatives including logistics, communications, and systems.
Additionally:


  • Update and maintain various sections of the D&I intranet and website pages
  • Coordinate the preparation of progress and evaluation reports of a specific course or group of courses
  • Administer and manage the learning management system

REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • University or College degree or Bachelors degree in a relevant subject (Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, History, Social Sciences, etc.) or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years experience working in an corporate environment
  • Bilingualism (French and English) required
  • Interested in building understanding of D&I principles and best practices
  • Eager to build new relationships, able and eager to work on a team
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
