About the team
Deloitte has been committed to supporting Indigenous leaders, communities, and organizations for nearly 30 years. As a firm we are advancing reconciliation by fostering meaningful and lasting relationships in working with Indigenous peoples, clients, and communities. The Deloitte Indigenous team is the core team executing the firm\xe2\x80\x99s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) which underpins our efforts in working with our clients. Our team members are located across the country and this role can be done remotely. What will your typical day look like?
In this role you will join the Deloitte Indigenous team
; key responsibilities include assisting in the execution of Deloitte Canada\xe2\x80\x99s RAP based on the guiding commitments and targets under the pillars of Education, Employment, Inclusion and Economic Empowerment. You will join a passionate team leading Deloitte\xe2\x80\x99s Indigenous strategy to help embed reconciliation across internal functions of the firm as well as working with key external partner groups. The person in this role will provide communication support and track the impact of our commitments. This role will be key in supporting the team executing our strategy.
Administrative Support for Deloitte Indigenous:
  • Responsible for taking meeting minutes, drafting agendas, and preparing background documents as required
  • Respond to general internal and external information requests as needed
  • Prepare and process invoices as required
  • Maintain contact lists and team site of documents

Communications
  • Presentation support, such as drafting PowerPoints and other communication documents.
  • Respond to information requests as needed (internal and external requests)

Reporting
  • Assist with reporting on Reconciliation Action Plan commitments
  • Assist with reporting for CCAB Progressive Aboriginal Relations Program
  • Assist in gathering qualitative and quantitative data to create quarterly dashboards for sharing commitments
  • Assist in year-end reporting on Deloitte Indigenous progress to be shared internally and externally
  • Analyze impact metrics to share with regions and leaders
  • Assist in the tracking of the team budget

REQUIREMENTS

  • Self Identify as First Nations, Metis or Inuit
  • 2-3 years active office experience
  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to furthering reconciliation between indigenous and non indigenous communities
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint Ect..)
  • Strong written/ oral communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to speak more than one language is an asset
