We are recruiting for:

  • Account Manager, Online Financing
  • Senior Officer, Document Processing Centre
  • Analyst (opportunities in Technical Support, Security & Disbursement, and Online Financing)

Account Manager, Online Financing Position Overview: We are recruiting for our Account Manager position to join our Online Financing team! The Account Manager will leverage their interpersonal strengths and network to generate new business opportunities while managing a portfolio of existing clients. Your main objective: to have an impact on the success of entrepreneurs with sales between $0 (start-up) and $2M through our financing solutions and advisory services adapted to their needs.
In a typical week, you would:
  • Develop and execute action plans aligned with BDC's objectives to ensure current clients needs are serviced, while also forming relationships with potential new clients to create a pool of business opportunities.
  • Meet with entrepreneurs, existing and prospective clients. You'll be identifying and discussing each entrepreneur's business goals in order to identify and support them with BDC financial services and products.
  • Analyze, negotiate and present financing proposals while exercising credit judgement
  • Be active in the local business community by networking within various associations and chambers of commerce in order to develop business relationships and obtain references that will facilitate new client acquisition

Senior Officer, Document Processing Centre Position Overview: We are recruiting for a Senior Officer in our Document Processing Centre. You will provide daily support in the day-to-day functioning of the Processing Centre and ensure specific individual goals and plans are delivered in support of your teams objectives. Additionally, ensure all activities conducted follow governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Some of your responsibilities include:
  • Review existing and new processes to determine where they can be improved upon
  • Effective utilization of existing equipment
  • Provide timely and quality report processing
  • Dispatch outgoing mail daily for clearing
  • Accurately and efficiently prepare courier waybills and maintain records of all courier shipments for tracing and billing purposes, for both incoming and outgoing items and the recording, tracking and delivering of packages
  • Receipt and distribution of parcels/boxes; making shipping arrangements for exception item
  • Train and onboard new employees
  • Providing leadership and direction to the day-to-day operations within the Processing Centre

Analyst, Technical Support, Customer Contact Centre Position Overview: The Client Contact Centre, Technical Support Analyst is the heart of our customer support strategy. You will assist customers with their questions and needs regarding our products and services. You're able to identify, diagnose, and fix technical issues, and use your critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills to provide assistance and answer customer's technical inquiries.
What you'll need to succeed:
  • University degree in business or economic science, Certificate in Administration (or equivalent) combined with at least one relevant professional experience
  • Excellent team spirit
  • Able to learn new software quickly
  • Excellent client service
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to adjust to change, work autonomously, and be proactive

REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Bachelors degree or University/College diploma in business, accounting, administration, finance, computer science, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in the corporate world
  • Bilingual (English and a second language) required
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong team ethic
