Deloitte is actively recruiting administration assistants for Indigenous specific class action projects. Those hired will be working under the supervision of our Project Managers. Each projects varies in length from a few weeks to several months, however we are looking to hire individuals who are available until at least March 2023 (with the possibility of extension). Independent contractors and temporary employees have the flexibility to work on a project-by-project basis, and may work from anywhere in Canada. Compensation is on an hourly basis. Please note that all roster members must pass a Canadian criminal background check, due to the nature of the work.
What will your typical day look like?

Deloitte\xe2\x80\x99s Legal Project Solutions group is actively seeking administrative and data entry resources to assist with upcoming projects in the class action administration space, including many Indigenous matters. As an independent contractor or temporary employee on this team, project work will vary but tasks will include:


  • Reviewing and organizing a variety of electronic file types;
  • Conducting data entry and data validation checks with a keen attention to detail;
  • Supporting Project Managers with records management tasks;
  • Extracting critical information from electronic records; and
  • Providing general administrative support.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must self-identify as First Nations/Metis/Inuit to apply through this method
  • An interest in developing your professional skills and experience working with Indigenous communities
  • Must be able to share your perspective on challenges being addressed by Indigenous peoples in Canada
  • 0-2 years of administrative, data entry or records management work experience
  • A minimum of two years of post secondary attendance in any field, with preference given to programs involving a co-op requirement
  • The capacity to review large volumes of data with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to learn new technology platforms quickly
  • Strong written/oral communication skills
  • Strong time-management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Candidates with limited educational background but exceptional work experience relating to the role may also be considered
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
