Job Description

Looking for reliable, hardworking, responsible person to join our team. We are a quickly growing firewood and landscaping company that is looking for the right person to join our team in a supervisor/operator role.
The right candidate will require:

- a valid class 5 drivers license and clean drivers abstract

- be reliable, trustworthy, safety oriented, hardworking and dedicated

- comfortable working outside in the elements, heat, cold, rain, snow etc.

- minimum 5 years experience running various types of equipment including but not limited to skid steer, chainsaw, log splitter, (Experience running firewood processor an asset)

- 5+ years experience driving truck, hauling and maneuvering trailers, hauling large loads, safely loading/unloading and securing large loads for transport.

- 5+ years mechanical experience -proficient in doing routine equipment maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

- have experience leading a crew of workers ensuring deadlines are met, safe work practices are followed and production is maximized daily.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

- safely and skillfully operating skid steer or small front end loader doing parking lot snow removal

- working early mornings, potential weekends and holidays, overtime

- reporting to firewood lot and operating firewood processor and chainsaws for production

- loading, unloading, securing and hauling equipment. Loading, securing and delivering firewood to various locations.

- performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as required

- delegating work and ensuring productivity with fellow crew members daily
