Are you a reliable and motivated individual who enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions? Do you have a passion for hard work and attention to detail If so, Rockland is seeking experienced and dependable Crew Lead to lead our Snow Removal Sidewalk Crews during the upcoming winter season.

Responsibilities:

Supervision:

Provide clear instructions and guidance to the sidewalk crew members, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and work efficiently.

Snow Removal:

Lead the crew in operating snow blowers, shovels, and other snow removal equipment to clear sidewalks, walkways, and entrance areas.

De-icing

: Apply calcium chloride, salt or ice melt to prevent ice buildup and maintain safe surfaces

Safety:

Enforce safety protocols and best practices at all times to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct safety briefings and ensure crew compliance.

Equipment Management:

Oversee equipment maintenance and report any issues promptly to the Site Lead. Ensure that equipment is in good working order.

Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of work completed, hours worked, and any incidents or issues encountered during the shift.

Scheduling:

Assist in crew scheduling and coordinate work assignments to ensure coverage during snow events.

Training:

Train new crew members on proper snow removal techniques and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in snow removal or related outdoor work, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience

Proficiency in operating snow removal equipment, including snow blowers and shovels

Capability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs and able to perform physically demanding tasks in cold weather conditions

Strong leadership and communication skills

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Availability for flexible work hours, including night shifts, weekends and holidays

4% vacation pay on top of wage
