Job Description

Gisborne's Fire Protection Division is seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Protection Service Technician to perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of fire protection systems.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our clients' systems while delivering exceptional service across the Lower Mainland.

This role is based out of our Burnaby office and provides field service across the Lower Mainland.

What You'll Do

Inspect, test, install, and repair fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, extinguishers, emergency lighting, suppression systems, and backflow preventers. Work with systems such as automatic, deluge, foam, fog, and CO?, as well as wet/dry standpipes, private hydrants, and fire pumps. Perform pressure and leak testing on fire protection systems. Troubleshoot and repair faults, leaks, and deficiencies. Respond to emergency service calls as part of the on-call rotation. Complete service reports, inspection forms, and timesheets accurately and on time. Communicate clearly with clients to explain the work performed and provide recommendations. Conduct annual inspections of extinguishers, alarms, and other life safety systems. Work safely at heights

What You Bring

Sprinkler Fitter Journeyperson Certification Experience in the Fire Protection Service or Construction Sector ASTTBC Certification(s) preferred: o SP - Sprinkler Systems o AL - Fire Alarm Systems o FX - Fire Extinguishers o EM - Emergency Lighting o WA - Water Working knowledge of NFPA Codes and BC Fire Code Fall Protection Certification Aerial Work Platform Certification Valid Driver's License and Clean Abstract Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills (spoken and written English) Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay: $49.58-$52.98 per hour
