Mircom/Gardia Ltd. is the GTA's distributor of advanced Fire Alarm and Voice Evac Systems, Access Control, CCTV & Security solutions. Mircom/Gardia Ltd. is a privately held company with a well earned reputation for excellence in service, reliability and quality workmanship.

We are seeking a dynamic Manager to lead our Fire Alarm Service Department. The perfect candidate will supervise our team of Service Technicians and maintain our distinguished reputation for delivering high-quality inspections, precise testing, and prompt repairs for our customers' fire alarm and related systems.

Responsibilities



Manage the department fleet by overseeing its maintenance, scheduling repairs, and ensuring that vehicles are in optimal condition for use. Conduct periodic inspections to identify any issues or areas for improvement and address them promptly to maintain the safety and efficiency of the fleet. Provide Technicians with ongoing guidance, hands-on training, and opportunities for professional growth. Perform Technician evaluations and communicate performance improvement strategies and actions. Responsible for hiring quality Technicians that posses the required skills, knowledge, and experience to fill open job positions. Collaborate with the Coordinator to manage technician schedules, ensuring optimal workload efficiency. Communicate with Sales Representatives and manages projects to meet budgets and deadlines. Review subcontracted projects for accuracy of work completed as per quote or original scope. Thoroughly review technicians' work orders and inspection reports to ensure completeness and accuracy, verifying all necessary information is included and addressing any omissions before issuing them to customers. Regularly review Technicians are equipped with the proper parts, tools and information needed to complete all jobs. Stay informed about all relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards, including regularly monitoring changes or updates and ensuring compliance and communicate any revisions or new information to Technicians. Ensure Technicians maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with customers and consistently deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.

Work Schedule is 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday.


Experience/Qualifications



Must posses 3-5 years Management experience in Fire Alarm Industry. Demonstrated management expertise in the Fire Alarm Industry. CFAA Certification. Ability to examine drawings, conduct field surveys, and gather all necessary information for comprehensive installation tasks. Education from a University, College, or Technical Post-Secondary institution is mandatory. Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft 365 Office Applications. Ability to mentor and guide technicians in a team environment and independently. Excellent organizational abilities, a positive outlook, and adeptness at rapid learning.

Pay: $60,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
