We are looking for an experienced

Estimator

to join our Fire Alarm/Electrical division. This role is ideal for someone who excels at preparing accurate bids, analyzing project requirements, and supporting successful project execution through precise estimates.



This position reports directly to the Fire Alarm Division Manager.

What You'll Do:

Prepare detailed project estimates using tools such as Accubid and Bluebeam Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine scope and costs Develop material, labour, and equipment take-offs Obtain and liaise with suppliers and manufacturers for pricing Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and coordinators to ensure estimates are accurate and feasible Prepare tender submissions and ensure compliance with contract documents Assist with value engineering, change orders, and post-tender addendums Maintain organized records of all estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation Use MS Excel and other software to track and analyze cost data Support management in project planning and budgeting discussions

What We're Looking For:

Certification, degree, or diploma in Electrical Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying Proficiency with Accubid, Bluebeam, and MS Office 365 Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (latest updates) is an asset 2-4 years of relevant estimating experience in electrical or fire alarm projects preferred Valid Class 5 driver's license
