FIS is seeking a highly qualified and versatile Master or Journeyperson Electrician with an active CFAA certification to join our team as Assistant Manager, Fire Alarm Department. (Canadian Fire Alarm Association)
This role combines advanced electrical expertise with fire alarm system specialization, safety leadership, and management capabilities. Commitment to continuous learning & professional development. Be able to pass a mandatory police checks. To build a strong relationship with the Fire alarm Manager work closely w/him.
REQIREMENTS:
(Must have Valid Red Seal Journeyperson/Master Electrician Certification)
(Must have a deep knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code & provincial regulations)
(Must have Management Experience detailed-oriented & safety conscious)
(Must Respond to service calls and provide technical support)
Skilled in installation, maintenance & repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, & institutional settings that is fast paced, dynamic environments.
Abilities: Be able to read & interpret blueprints, schematics &technical drawings
All techs coordinates w/other trades and managing electrical scope on job sites
Any electrician tech has to have the ability to oversee electrical projects, ensure code compliance, and manage permitting and inspections
Experience and references where you supervised teams and mentored apprentices
Any electrician needs to be proficient in installing, programming, inspecting and maintaining fire alarm systems
Any electrician needs a strong understanding of fire codes, system calibration and emergency protocols
Any electricians Ability to troubleshoot faults, replace components and document service activities
Any electricians Experience working w/ building plans to determine optimal system layout
A tech needs Safety ability to work independently & collaboratively
A tech needs Familiarity w/ Hazard assessments safety audits & regulatory compliance
A tech has to be able to lead safety initiatives and promote a culture of accountability
A resume with Business Admin, Marketing, H&S or HR Management experience
Capable of leading teams, budgets, and contributing to communicate w/424 union
(All techs Must have Technical proficiency/Computer Literacy skills)
1)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
2)Skills in cloud-based productivity in tolls e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace
3)Skilled in maintaining digital records, reports, and fire alarm documentation
Responsibilities:
All techs Install, maintain and trouble shoot electrical and fire alarm systems to code
All techs Ensure compliance w/safety regulations and internal protocols
All techs Coordinate w/clients, contractors, & internal teams displaying leadership skills
All techs Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
All techs support project planning and execution across commercial and industrial sites
All techs Conduct inspections and testing of Fire Alarm systems
