The Manager of Financial Reporting Systems is a critical role responsible for the overall strategy, optimization, and administration of the company's financial reporting systems, with a strong focus on the OneStream platform. This individual will bridge the gap between financial reporting and IT, ensuring that financial reporting systems effectively support business objectives, financial reporting, and analysis, while maintaining data integrity and compliance. This role will lead initiatives to enhance system functionality, streamline processes, and provide expert support to finance and business stakeholders.
What drives your day-to-day?
OneStream Administration & Optimization:
+ Serve as the primary subject matter expert and technical administrator for the OneStream platform for close, consolidation and reporting.
+ Oversee the ongoing maintenance, configuration, and enhancement of OneStream, including metadata management, dimensionality, cubes, workflows, and data loads.
+ Lead or participate in OneStream implementation projects, upgrades, and patches, from planning to go-live, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise applications (e.g., ERP systems, data lakehouse).
+ Design, develop, and maintain OneStream solutions, including financial reports, dashboards, input forms, data integrations, and custom functionalities
+ Perform rigorous testing and data validation to ensure accuracy, performance, and security across all OneStream environments.
System Strategy & Development:
+ Collaborate closely with IT, information management, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions within OneStream.
+ Provide strategic input on financial transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to leverage OneStream and other financial systems for improved efficiency, governance, and insights.
+ Develop and define technical standards and best practices for OneStream implementations and usage.
+ Stay current with OneStream releases, features, and functionalities, recommending and implementing relevant improvements.
Support & Training:
+ Provide technical support and troubleshoot end-user issues related to OneStream and other financial systems.
+ Develop and deliver new user and ongoing training programs to maximize user adoption and proficiency.
+ Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including standard operating procedures and user guides.
Data Integrity & Controls:
+ Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all financial systems, with particular attention to data flowing into and out of OneStream.
+ Maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting processes within the financial systems environment.
+ Manage risk and compliance exposure across reporting processes.
Project Management & Leadership:
+ Lead or contribute to financial reporting systems projects, managing scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
+ Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their development in financial reporting systems expertise.
+ Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical information into understandable terms.
What are the must-haves...
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. An MBA or Master's degree in Accounting (or equivalent) is a plus.
5+ years of progressive experience in financial systems, accounting, or financial reporting, with a strong emphasis on financial consolidation and reporting.
Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial operations, including consolidations and financial reporting (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Proficiency in advanced Excel skills.
Experience with internal controls, compliance, and audit processes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of hands-on administration and implementation experience with OneStream, including managing metadata, building cubes, workflows, and reports.
Experience with OneStream and various ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, CDK, Sage) and data warehouses (e.g., Azure).
Experience in a multi-national or complex organizational structure.
Chartered Professional Accountant designation or equivalent.
Experience in finance transformation initiatives.
