Job Description

Our client, located in Downtown, is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager for 4-month contract opportunity (perm potential). Managing a team of 3+, the incumbent will support all the financial aspects of the organization: period-end financial close responsibilities, including journal entry review, balance sheet account reconciliations and P& L review, preparation of monthly and quarterly US GAAP financial packages as well as annual IFRS reporting, reporting related to investors, oversee calculation and posting of contingent commissions, intercompany reconciliations, invoices, etc. while also will hold financial planning duties such preparation of annual plan and quarterly forecasts,, ad-hocs, etc. The successful Finance Manager will come with a roll-up your sleeve attitude and strong leadership skills. Working on a fast-paced environment that requires you to have strong sense of prioritization, attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changes and thrive, the Financial Reporting Manager will be required to work onsite a minimum of 2 days a week.

Mandatory Requirements:

• 5+ years of Financial Reporting experience.

• Experience within insurance organizations.

• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS -including IFRS 17-, US GAAP).

• Solid leadership / supervisory experience.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
