We are on the hunt for an experienced financial reporting and accounting manager who has managed a small team and is looking for a new challenge!

ABOUT THE CLIENT

A publicly traded company located in Vancouver is looking for a financial reporting and accounting manager to join their team! The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the controller, the financial reporting and accounting manager will be responsible for overseeing 8 different entities and provides support to corporate accounting and consolidation work. Some of the duties include but aren\xe2\x80\x99t limited to:

• Manage quarter end reconciliations and reporting process for multiple joint ventures.
• Review quarterly reporting materials, process financial statements and year end audits.
• Streamline accounting policies and procedures, work on budgets, variance analysis and cashflow forecasting.
• Work in collaboration with internal and external joint venture partners and prepare board materials.
• Research and implement IFRS, US GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements and ensure SOX compliance work is done.
• Implement process changes and improvements.
• Manage and coach a team of 3+ accountants.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Designated CPA
• 5+ years of accounting experience working for a publicly traded company.
• Experience with SOX compliance and external reporting work.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary: $120,000 to $130,000
• Discretionary bonus
• 3 weeks vacation
