Our client, located in the Grey-Bruce region, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Financial Controller. This position will oversee financial management, accounting operations, budgeting, and forecasting activities. Reporting to the CEO, this role plays a critical leadership function in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and sound financial decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee financial and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and applicable legislation. Lead the preparation of financial statements, business plans, budgets, and forecasts. Monitor financial performance and collaborate with the leadership team to achieve financial objectives. Analyze financial trends and recommend strategies to improve efficiency, performance, and profitability. Coordinate with, bankers, and other external stakeholders. Establish and maintain sound financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

What it takes to do the Job:

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent experience. CPA designation required or actively pursuing completion. Minimum three (3) years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, and financial planning. Demonstrated knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
