Overview
SRC's Finance Division has a career opportunity for a Financial Controller. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this role will provide leadership and direction to the accounting team and as part of a team of highly skilled financial professionals, will contribute to the delivery of high-quality financial services.
Accountabilities
• Responsible for the management of the financial systems, internal controls, monitoring and related processes
• In charge of preparing, analyzing and presenting financial statements, statistics, regulatory reporting and other specific reports
• Provide leadership and strategic guidance to the financial analysts that support each of our functional business areas across SRC ensuring accuracy in financial analysis and reporting
• Manage the annual audit process and preparation of financial reports for regulatory and government entities
• Represent the finance department in leadership meetings, ensuring alignment with SRC's strategic initiatives
• Provide analytical advice, reporting, forecasting and support across SRC's strategic decision-making in the business areas
• Review business planning activities and provide financial recommendations and input that assess risk and opportunities and support long-term financial sustainability
• Serve as the primary financial contact to communicate with key stakeholders and external parties such as auditors and financial institutions
• Oversee SRC's budgeting and financial reporting processes ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with strategic objectives
Qualifications
• 8+ years of financial accounting and financial management experience; experience in relevant industries is an asset
• 3+ years of leadership experience
• Chartered Professional Accountant Designation is required
• In-depth understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and knowledge of government reporting
• Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing organization is an asset
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Power BI and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations are assets

The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
This position is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
