Your role in this journey



Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Controller will be responsible for consolidating the financial foundations while preparing the team for the next chapter: transforming financial data into decision-making levers. This position is for someone who enjoys building, collaborating, and evolving ways of doing things. In Phase 1, you will anchor the structure; in Phase 2, you will help guide business decisions.


Tasks




Ensure the rigor and consistency of the accounting cycle so that monthly financial statements are delivered on time and serve as a reliable benchmark for management. Structure and ensure the reliability of accounts payable and receivable processes, so that financial operations support day-to-day operations. Strengthen internal controls and reporting quality, with a focus on continuous improvement and transparency. Contribute to financial planning, supporting management in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and strategic analyses. Produce clear and useful analyses that identify significant variances, anticipate trends, and support decision-making. Support the management of capital expenditure projects (CAPEX), ensuring financial monitoring and understanding their impact on overall performance. Collaborate closely with operations to transform financial observations into levers for efficiency and profitability.

Required qualifications




CPA designation and significant experience in financial control, ideally in a manufacturing environment. Solid understanding of costing and operations. Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems; experience with Genius Manufacturing is an asset. Ability to thrive in a transforming SME, where priorities are split between strategic and operational aspects. Analytical, rigorous, and curious mindset, with a collaborative and proactive approach. Excellent command of French and good English.
