Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee month-end and year-end close processes for multiple entities (investment holding companies)

Review and approve financial statements prepared under Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Entities ("ASPE")

Oversee investment accounting, including tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of portfolio activity

Ensure compliance with GST/QST, corporate tax filings, and year-end requirements (T5s, NR slips, etc.)

Supervise and guide the Accounting Team

Serve as the main contact for auditors, tax advisors, and banks

Ensure robust internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvements

Lead system optimization initiatives in Sage Intacct

Qualifications:

CPA-Auditor designation (required)

Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience

Prior experience in investment accounting (required)

Proven ability to manage and mentor accounting teams

Experience with Sage Intacct or other ERP systems a plus

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills

Strategic thinker who can manage high-level oversight while ensuring timely execution

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $150,000.00-$170,000.00 per year
