We are seeking a Full-time Controller to join our team. This is a hybrid role with two days a week in office. Our office is based in Pickering, ON. Your job duties and functions are not limited to but include the following: \xc2\xb7 Implement and maintain overall financial management, planning, systems and controls. \xc2\xb7 Improve resource planning and utilization. Identify opportunities to improve business processes and work with Stakeholders to do so. \xc2\xb7 Provide short and long-term financial and managerial reporting. \xc2\xb7 Mentor & train office & accounting staff (including HR) and coordinate cross-function training as required. \xc2\xb7 IT Security \xe2\x80\x93 work with our Managed IT provider + IT Security Firm to safeguard the companies systems and our clients data Financial Management \xc2\xb7 Direct annual budgeting and planning process for the organization\'s annual budget & manage organizations budget ensuring we hit financial targets \xc2\xb7 Improve the accuracy of our Forecasting Process \xc2\xb7 Provide monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization\'s financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals. \xc2\xb7 Analysis of profit and loss statements to drive organization better cost containment and higher profit. \xc2\xb7 Oversee all accounting and finance processes, A/R, A/P and cashflow \xc2\xb7 Preparation of all Year End Files, working directly with External Accountants to finalize Year End Financial Statements Organizational Effectiveness \xc2\xb7 Simplify company dashboard to ensure client health, resource utilization and team health. \xc2\xb7 Insure ERP areas are accurately pulling costs and hours into areas for dashboards. \xc2\xb7 Initiate, prepare and provide ad-hoc reporting/analysis and research to assist management in decision making. \xc2\xb7 Improve accuracy of job cost process while keeping it simple \xc2\xb7 Work with VP Sales and VP Client Services to develop a new pricing model that improves the accuracy of our profit estimate by job while keeping us competitive in the market. \xc2\xb7 Improve resource utilization by improving task management system & identifying opportunities to improve our processes through technology or process improvement. \xc2\xb7 Serve as primary liaison to legal counsel in addressing legal issues \xc2\xb7 Work with HR to review year end programs, department / social budgets and review company benefits administration. Qualifications \xc2\xb7 CPA designation with at least 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role \xc2\xb7 Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices. \xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and a collaborative management style. \xc2\xb7 Must be very strong in Excel. \xc2\xb7 Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization. \xc2\xb7 Ability to look at situations from several points of view \xc2\xb7 Experience in a service business where Time is Billed and Sold is an Asset \xc2\xb7 Past Experience at a Marketing Agency would be ideal We\xe2\x80\x99d like to thank all applicants, but only those selected to move forward will be contacted.
