As our Financial Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in scaling our financial operations while helping steer the company's strategic direction. This is more than a traditional finance role, it's a chance to lead, innovate, and help build something meaningful from the inside out.

What You'll Do?

You'll own the full financial cycle - from daily operations to strategic insights. Key responsibilities include:

Leading month-end and year-end closes, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting Overseeing payroll, allocations, and employee record compliance Managing capital asset and loan schedules, and supporting grant/funding reporting Handling HST filings and preparing other tax requirements Monitoring A/P and A/R, supporting cash flow, and assisting collections Collaborating across departments to ensure accurate expense tracking Enhancing financial systems, controls, and reporting tools Providing actionable insights for forecasting and strategic planning Mentoring junior finance team members
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-growth environment, loves variety, and is passionate about building strong financial foundations.

What You Bring

5-7 years of relevant experience Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Proven accuracy, accountability, and consistency Strong QuickBooks and Excel skills CPA Designation preferred and considered an asset Organized, proactive, and collaborative mindset Excitement for scaling a business and creating lasting impact
