Queen of the Thrones is a fast-growing clean beauty and wellness brand built around the ancient ritual of castor oil packs and premium, glass-bottled castor oil products. Founded by Dr. Marisol Teijeiro, our mission is to empower people to reclaim their energy, beauty, and confidence through natural, multi-use, and energetically aligned self-care practices. With products distributed across North America and a strong presence in e-commerce, retail, and private label, we're scaling rapidly and looking for a skilled financial leader to help us thrive.

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO. The Controller will oversee all financial operations, ensure compliance, manage a small finance team, and provide insights that support Queen of the Thrones' continued growth and efficiency. A passion for beauty and wellness is a must, as this role is central to fueling a brand built on rituals of self-care and empowerment.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including AR/AP, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting. Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to guide executive decision-making. Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. tax and reporting requirements. Manage external audits and relationships with banking, tax, and legal partners. Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth. Provide leadership to finance staff and collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and sales. Support the CFO with financial modeling, growth planning, and cash flow management.
Qualifications

CPA designation preferred (or in progress). 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience. Proven experience managing and developing a finance or accounting team. Experience in consumer goods, e-commerce, or manufacturing/distribution industries is an asset. Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial systems. Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment. Genuine passion for beauty, wellness, and natural lifestyle brands.?Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $85,000 CAD annually + DOE (Depending on Experience) Bonus Structure: Eligible for annual performance bonus (up to 10% of base), tied to company and individual goals Vacation: 3 weeks paid holiday + statutory holidays + 1 personal/wellness day Benefits: Extended health & dental, life & disability insurance, RSP contribution match (up to 5%), EAP, professional development allowance (CPA dues, training, etc.) Flexible Work: Hybrid with remote options available
