Job Description

MacDougall Steel Erectors Inc. (MSE), located in Borden, PE with sites across Canada, is an industry leader in the fabrication and installation of both structural steel and miscellaneous metals. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of financial management and reporting. Reporting directly to the CEO, this senior role is critical in supporting MSE's continued growth and national operations.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead accounting operations, including payroll, accounts receivable/payable, capital assets, and multi-entity consolidations.

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Manage banking, audit, and insurance relationships while ensuring compliance with tax, audit, and reporting standards.

Oversee cash flow, capital planning, and ERP process improvements

Implement and monitor financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.

Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to the finance team.

Support business growth, strategic planning, and operational decision-making through financial insights.

Qualifications



CPA designation with 5+ years of progressive accounting/leadership experience, ideally in construction or manufacturing.

Strong analytical, organizational, and financial modeling skills.

Advanced Excel proficiency; knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft SharePoint an asset.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
