The Bookkeeper reports primarily to the President, with support from the Vice President and Business Manger. The Bookkeeper is responsible for the administration of payroll, bookkeeping and accounting. Exceptional attention to detail, financial literacy, and strong customer service skills are critical in this role. This position has responsibilities and functions that directly impact the Company.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operation of an accounting, job profit and loss, and expenses
Prepare or coordinate the preparation of financial statements, summaries, and other cost-benefit analyses and financial management reports
Coordinate the financial planning and budget process, and analyze and correct estimates
Supervise the development and implementation of financial simulation models
Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting procedures and investment activities and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets and other financial control functions to senior managers and other department or regional managers
Act as liaison between the organization and its shareholders, the investing public and external financial analysts
Notify and report to senior management concerning any trends that are critical to the organization's financial performance.

Qualifications:
Certified Professional Bookkeepers of Canada designation or equivalent
At least 5 years in financial controlling, bookkeeping, business administration, or equivalent experience
Construction knowledge or experience an asset
At least 3 years of admin or superuser experience with QuickBooks
High admin use in SharePoint, and Microsoft Office
Superior customer service, attention to detail, accuracy and communication skills in all areas of professionalism and problem solving while taking initiative
Administrative Information Management Diploma an asset
QuickBooks Certified is considered an asset
