Job Summary Reporting to the Finance Business Partnering Director, the Extrusion Manufacturing Finance Business Partner collaborates with the Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A) as well as the North American business leaders to monitor financial performance, develop strategic plans, budgets, forecasts and financial analyses to facilitate decision-making and to meet the businesses' strategic targets. Business partners are trusted advisors that influence, provide practical insights and challenge the businesses/functions to ensure the best financial decisions that improve the North American strategic goals.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Understand the business requirements, activities, priorities and strategy of the Extrusion Manufacturing team in order to provide them with appropriate strategic financial support, financial opinions and insights that drive as well as support strategic business decisions.
  • Provide strategic and operational business partnering to the Extrusion Manufacturing departments to support business objectives and deliver results.
  • In collaboration with FP&A coordinate the review of the long-term plan, budgeting, as well as forecasting models and reports with the business leaders.
  • Review financial performance with partners to identify issues, provide solutions and develop action plans.
  • Drive root cause analysis as well as action plans resulting from financial variances between expected, or planned performance compared to actual performance.
  • Drive the development of business cases with support of the financial planning and analysis team by using financial analyses, such as net present value and return on investment, as well as other quantitative factors to evaluate investment decisions.
  • Support continuous improvement by driving financial post-mortem project reviews (includes capital expenditure projects), improving insights from trends, forecasting approaches or other financial indicators.
  • Identify and analyze opportunities for optimization and savings.
  • Coordinate with the functions and FP&A to drive scenario analysis and related action plans.
  • Identify, understand and monitor leading business indicators to provide market trend insights.
  • In collaboration with FP&A, develop the capabilities, tools (including presentations and management reporting), techniques, and models to enable Finance to influence and drive better decision-making in the organization.
  • Drive collaboration in cross functional analysis and decision processes.
  • Assist FP&A in preparation and in coordination of financial overview, responses to global requests, presentations for quarterly reviews and leadership meetings.
  • Proactively signal risks or issues impacting financial results before the risks materialize.
  • Advise on forward looking assumptions, trade-offs and opportunities by conducting financial scenario analyses.
  • Coordinate with other areas of finance to drive decisions and solutions. Leverage the Finance team capabilities by involving the colleagues with the right expertise at the right time.
  • Build strong relationships with the Business to collaborate, gain-buy-in and to deliver results.
Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Certificates
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA, CMA Designation
Technical Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant business partnering experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
  • 10+ years of related experience would be ideal
  • Experience working within a global setting
