Talent and Culture / Permanent / Work from anywhere in Canada (remote or hybrid) Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Partners, Talent & Culture, the Business Partner, Talent and Culture will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnering relations with their client groups. You will support managers in their role, setting future directions and designing action plans to operationalize the business unit\xe2\x80\x99s talent strategies and objectives. You will also contribute to strategically and positively influence the achievement of the expected results of various initiatives supporting the work atmosphere, employee development and the transformation of our culture. More specifically, you will: Within the designated business unit:
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the business model, including key priorities and decision-makers\xe2\x80\x99 interests and motivations by building trust with managers and actively participating in strategic and operational business unit meetings.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary support teams within the Vice-Presidency Talent and Culture (VPTC) to support various reorganizations, initiatives and special projects, including mergers, acquisitions, integrations and modernization projects.
  • Contribute to the design of new organizational structures to support the growth of the business unit.
  • Participate in the creation of a talent strategy vision.
  • Actively participate in the strategic management of the business unit, including talent planning to meet the company\xe2\x80\x99s needs.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to influence decision-making.
  • Contribute to the promotion of the company\xe2\x80\x99s culture.
  • Contribute to the leadership development of the business unit managers.
  • For relevant projects, act as the primary point of contact between VPTC and stakeholders in the business unit project structures and the VPTC project support team.
  • Ensure the successful implementation of HR initiatives, measure progress and ensure consistent application.
  • Analyze and interpret performance indicators and Talent and Culture surveys for each client group and provide strategic and proactive advice.
Within the Vice-Presidency Talent and Culture:
  • Build partnering relations with your VPTC colleagues in the Centres of Excellence.
  • Ensure communication of specific client needs and expectations to other HR branches and follow up with managers who have requested it.
  • In collaboration with the VPTC managers, coordinate the availability of the expertise required by the VPTC to support the projects of the business lines.
  • Promote alignment and consistency with other Talent and Culture Business Partners to implement best practices and jointly develop expertise.
  • Support the VPTC managers in the delivery of the annual HR cycle.
  • Support the integration of VPTC employees into projects, in collaboration with managers, in Talent Acquisition, Organizational Performance, Overall Remuneration and other departments, that may be part of the multidisciplinary teams that the Talent and Culture Business Partner will lead.
Desired profile
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in human resources or in a related field, ideally including experience as an HR or project manager
  • Results-oriented with a structured approach
  • Ability to understand global and systemic issues
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels
  • Partnership and collaborative approach
  • Ability to manage employees in a matrix environment
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Knowledge of the LEAN philosophy, approach and tools (a significant asset)
  • Knowledge of the AGILE methodology (an asset)
  • Knowledge of Workday and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent command of English and French (oral and written) for regular interaction with English- and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and the United States
