Company Description
The Financial Analyst will work alongside the Senior Financial Analyst to support the Finance Manager with financial planning, analysis and reporting for Red Bull Canada (RBCA). This involves significant interaction with the budget managers in Operations, Trade and Consumer Marketing. A key element of this role will be to build cross-departmental relationships to aid in the creation of a better approach to the planning, analysis and reporting of Indirect Costs and Capital Expenditures, and Operations key figures, as well as maintaining and implementing the systems used during these processes.
BUSINESS PARTNERSHIPS Builds solid relationships with budget holders based on mutual respect and trust. Is driven by a service mentality, sharing insights, ensuring overall budget adherence, acting as a facilitator to achieve objectives, highlighting risks and opportunities, and providing financial simulations for new projects. Acts as a contact for the business owners and can challenge them when necessary. Understands the business and the terms of contracts with external service providers to provide for quick analysis. Provides training for employees to ensure budget owners are onboarded on Red Bull\'s finance structure. PLANNING THE PROFIT AND LOSS STATEMENT AND BALANCE SHEET Informs and works with the business to adhere to the financial planning timetables. Communicates, supports and challenges budget owners on their assumptions in order to deliver a highly accurate plan. Designs and builds planning tools to aid budget owners in developing their forecasts. Assists in the calculation/projection of consolidated results. Inputs the planning data into the financial planning system. MONTH-END AND YEAR-END CLOSINGS Reviews expense postings to verify accurate P&L expense recognition. Coordinates the monthly accrual process with relevant budget owners to ensure all expenses are correctly captured. Supports the reconciliation of systems (SAP/BI/Hyperion). REPORTING AND ANALYSIS OF MONTHLY RESULTS Creates and distributes multifunctional reports in SAP BI. Identifies cost saving measures to ensure more efficient use of company resources. Collaborates with the Trade, Marketing and Red Bull Canada Distribution Company (RBCD) to understand the dynamics and trends affecting RBCA\xe2\x80\x99s financial position. Promotes efficiency in order to minimize time spent for report generation and increases time for analysis, commenting and insights sharing. Aids the Finance Manager in preparation and distribution of the management reporting package that highlights specific risks, trends and results against major KPIs to support management in decision making. ADMINISTRATION, COMPLIANCE AND CONTROLS Maintains the master data of the planning and reporting systems. Manages the approval and assignment of reporting authorizations. Understands and adheres to the global and local reporting requirements. Supports the maintenance of documentation for the planning/analysis structures, systems, procedures and best practices. Assists with local and global financial initiatives to improve cost controlling while ensuring a proper balance of control, transparency and efficiency across all functional departments. Ensures compliance with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s controlling guidelines through developing tools and resources, communicating with the business partners and performing training. Ensures master data quality and verifies the consistency of the internal order hierarchies. AD-HOC ANALYSIS Applies technical and practical knowledge to identify and track relevant KPIs. Supports budget managers by focusing on improvement of financial transparency and accountability. Utilizes knowledge of Red Bull Canada\xe2\x80\x99s financial structure & processes to perform ad-hoc analyses. Support the implementation of various projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications
1+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a controlling/financial analysis role, preferably in consumer goods industry. Highly analytical and very skilled individual in the area of profitability analysis. Ability to quickly identify and analyze risks & impacts and able to define alternatives. Capable of communicating precisely and effectively with internal stakeholders up to senior manager level. Structured and well-organized. Must be self-motivated, self-directed and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment. Experience of managing projects and delivering results. Ability to operate well in a matrix environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. SAP R/3 and Hyperion preferred.
