McMillan has an exciting permanent opportunity as a senior Financial Analyst in our Toronto Finance department. As a member of this innovative team, you will play a key role in the financial planning and analysis side of the business. What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do You will be an integral team member with key technical and analytic expertise. You will participate in the annual budget and ad hoc forecast preparation all while ensuring accuracy and integrity of the reports. You will analyze data and develop reports to assist the National Directors understand their expense and improve the bottom line. You will develop reports using Excel VBA, SQL and SSRS reporting tools to provide meaningful financial analysis. You will on a weekly basis monitor the time entry system, WIP, AR, Bad Debts and Collections status. You will prepare the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Management. You will work with the metrics on the financial dashboards to make sure they are accurate and provide a good view of financial hygiene. You will assist with other financial analysis duties and projects as required including assisting with report requests and creating new reports and/or reporting methods. Finally you will thrive in this dynamic team and will continue the commitment to constantly improve the systems and processes to solve problems and enhance efficiencies within the Firm. What You Bring

  • College Diploma or University degree, preferably in Accounting
  • CPA/CFA designation
  • Experience working with SQL databases. Power BI and Power Query Experience is an asset
  • Experience with building planning, forecasting and reporting models
  • Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel (Advanced Level), PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong analytical, accounting, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to promote a collaborative work/team environment by presenting a professional and responsive attitude towards others and by demonstrating prompt and conscientious work habits
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters 3E financial application platform is an asset
