Position: Financial Analyst
Location: Ottawa (fully remote, occasional going to the office)
Salary: $36 to $42 an hour + 4% vacation pay

from the health sector is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team! They require someone who has a solid foundation in financial reporting and data management.

Responsibilities:

- Processing financial data to deliver consistent, accurate, and timely information to the General Ledger and Costing System
- Participate in the monthly and quarterly financial statement preparation, forecasting, and reporting
- Perform detailed analyses of source data systems for use in Case Costing and Statistical Reporting
- Assess, develop, and implement strategies to enhance data quality
- Prepare, edit, and maintain workflows, processes, procedures, and documentation

Requirements:

- 3 to 5 years\' experience in financial analysis
- Proficiency with spreadsheets (strong Excel skills) and reporting tools (such as Crystal Reports, Webi, SQL)
- Experience in performing data analyses and summarizing results in a large, complex environment
- Familiarity with General Ledger Reporting Tools (Oracle and Hyperion) for financial and statistical data
- Familiar with visualization of data (e.g. Power BI, Dashboards, etc.)
- Certification with Canadian College of Health Information Management (CCHIM) and/or Professional Accounting Designation (CPA/CA/CGA/CMA)
