Job Description


A large Global company with a dedicated team of employees is looking for a Financial Analyst for a long-term to permanent Contract Engagement. The Financial Analyst is responsible for overseeing the full invoicing and billing cycle from creation of line items to the g/l review and clearing accounts. Serving as the primary point of contact for all billing and operational needs,, you will need to perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments, as well as provide decision-making support for future Invoicing and Expense items. This Financial Analyst position is located in Mississauga, Ontario, and you will need to be onsite 2 days a week.

Your responsibilities

- Financial Reporting:
- Preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Month-End Close:
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes for company and subsidiaries, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
- Close the books, financial reporting, intercompany transactions. Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data and resolve any discrepancies.

- Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends and variances for multiple subsidiaries. Analysis and accruals on utilities, capital accounts - Analysis of operating expenses, including variance analysis - Create and distribute monthly department expense reports to stakeholders, point person for expense inquiries by stakeholders.

- Invoicing and Billing requirements, review of g/l line allocations as related to invoicing

The candidate must have a
- CPA designation ,strong communication skills ,
- advanced excel ,
- able to work independently and in a team environment.
- We are looking also for a candidate coming from a large corporate settings / large Finance team .
- SAP and experience working with a virtual team will be considered an asset
- 3-5 years experience
