JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of the Company's Non-operating Business Units, including Corporate functional departments, ensuring that all financial information flows through the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner. As a highly motivated and detail-oriented member of the Shared Services team, the successful candidate provides sound financial advisory support to finance personnel at each of the divisions and to senior leadership and will be committed to exceeding management expectations while seeking continuous improvements.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform month end close procedures including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger accounts for the Company's non-operating business units, including Corporate functional departments.
Manage assigned general ledger balance sheet and income statement working papers, lead sheets and controls within the accounting area.
Analyze actual results and variance to budget by business unit and by Corporate functional department. Effectively communicate findings to management and other stakeholders as needed.
Prepare, review and distribute internal invoicing from non-operating entities.
Support the annual operating plan process for Corporate functional departments as well as other non-operating entities.
Contribute to the training and development of co-op students.
Identify and assist in the re-engineering, improvement or replacement of business processes and associated technology in a team environment.
Contribute to the improvement of existing management reporting and the development and design of new management reports to improve the quality of information available to senior financial management.
Ensure internal control documentation is compliant with SOX regulations.
Support the internal and external audit process as required.
Support Corporate Tax and other business partner requests as required.
Assist in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned by Shared Services Management.
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, finance or equivalent.
Completed or working towards a professional accounting designation.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or in a manufacturing environment. Some experience in public company external reporting and compliance is preferred.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and commit to accuracy and attention to detail required.
Strong analytical, financial and accounting skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within and outside of the organization, both orally and in writing.
Agility and adaptability to work independently, self-motivated, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
Highly organized, proactive, and adept at managing priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
Skilled at simplifying and streamlining complex processes and transactions.
Experience with JD Edwards, BlackLine and OneStream is an asset.
