What We Need
FLEETCOR is looking to hire a Financial Analyst - Reporting & Compensation within our Accounting & Finance division. This position falls under our Corpay Cross-Border line of business and is located in Toronto, ON In this role, you will Join our bustling head office in Toronto and become part of a successful Finance and global payroll operation. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the group by performing month-end closes, compensation reporting, reconciliation, and analytical support. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and regularly collaborate with the FP&A team.

As a Financial Analyst, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. FLEETCOR will set you up for success by providing the following:

The responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Contribute to the Financial Reporting and reconciliation functions related to Global Payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payroll, benefits, and compensation reporting.
  • Compile and analyze data for reporting purposes (formal and informal reports). Provide analytical and administrative support in the establishment and maintenance of compensation.
  • Assist with the preparation of Payroll journal entries and account reconciliation for local and international payroll accounts.
  • Play a key role in delivering a planned Global HR budget for the salaried population in addition to maintaining active management, tracking, monitoring of results, and forecasting the compensation components including base pay, variable pay, benefits, and vacation, across the business units.
  • Assist in exploring and tracking the technology capabilities of the Ceridian Dayforce, ADP, and Workday systems as they relate to HR reporting; navigate the systems as a reports administrator.
  • Work with the Finance team, supporting one another, collaborating with the HR team and working with external service providers (group benefits, RRSP, tax services, external auditors, etc)
  • Continually evaluate financial results by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Participate in multiple ad hoc and special projects related to HR and compensation, working directly with the Directors of Finance and HR
Qualifications & Skills
  • Understanding of critical HR processes like data administration, pension, benefits, and payroll.
  • Must be able to work with highly confidential data and always maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience in HRIS and Compensation modules.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential to succeed at this position.
  • Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to collect and analyze data and present findings using advanced analysis techniques in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, VLOOKUP\xe2\x80\x99s, pivot tables, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in working with databases.
  • Work well in and ability to handle a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Liaise with all levels of the organization in a professional, courteous manner.
Education & Experience
  • Post-secondary education in Business / Accounting / Finance, and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Accounting knowledge; Journal entries and account reconciliations knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Internal Controls and Audit
  • Knowledge of payroll/compensation related including payments calculations would be an asset.
