About us:Franvest Capital Partners is an Edmonton based private equity firm that invests in privately held companies with a focus on franchising and real estate development. In the past we have worked with companies requiring financial restructuring, strategic redirection or operational improvement.
Franvests investments include , , , and , plus real estate investments in Alberta and the US. Applicants with an interest in private equity, franchising and/or mergers and acquisitions will be preferred.About the Role:We are currently seeking an Analyst who will be responsible for financial analysis support for transaction due diligence and ongoing portfolio management. Financial analysis responsibilities will include in-depth financial models that are supported by data and accounting principles. This person will also be involved in developing investment theses and assisting in driving an investment process.The Analyst will work closely will senior members of the Firm and have extensive interaction with management teams and external advisors. He/she is self-motivated, has a strong sense of personal ownership, can influence and develop recommendations, has a continuous improvement mindset, and has an ability to thrive in (and make strong contributions to) a team-based environment.This position is a unique opportunity to gain experience working with small to medium sized businesses in a very entrepreneurial environment. The position will involve the research for new strategic business programs, business due diligence and hands on operational experience across a number of the portfolio companies. Projects may include developing and implementing strategies in the areas of finance, technology, sales, marketing, business management, reporting and logistics.Required Experience and Expertise:

• Applicants must have a minimum requirement of a four year business degree in commerce, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Must be an expert in Excel; applicants must have experience in building and working on reports. They must be comfortable creating pivot tables and using V-lookups.
• Deep knowledge in AI and a general understanding of business technology platforms
• Experience working with Canva or other graphic design programs to fomat reports and presentations
• Knowledge of finance, marketing, business development and management are important assets
• An established track-record for entrepreneurship
• Capabilities and demonstrated experience in developing business plans
• The capacity to devise creative, workable solutions in a variety of business situations.
• The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent analytical skills and problem solving capabilities
• A valid passport to allow for travel to the US is also a requirement.
• The applicant may be required to work outside normal business hours to meet project deadlines.
