We currently seeking a Financial Analyst. This role is based in our Oakville office and reports to the Corporate Development Business Partner Manager.

Job Summary

The Financial Analyst will support the Corporate Development group on Merger and Acquisition financial activities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify alignments and coordinate the modelling of their impact on the different functions and financial processes (budgets & forecasts).
  • Support financial due diligence process.
  • Build, design, maintain and improve M&A related financial models, projections, processes, and analyses.
  • Actively assist with M&A integration planning with the objective of tracking alignments.
  • Deliver focused and timely performance analyses, including post-acquisition harmony realizations tracking.
  • Assist in the identification of benefits, harmonies and post integration review for lessons learned.
  • Support the preparation of the financial closing statements including calculating the targeted net working capital.
  • Assist with business valuations for purchase price allocation on newly acquired M&A targets.
  • Work with acquired M&A target to establish opening balance sheet and document internal processes.
  • Coordinate the identification of alignments and explain variances with the expected benefits and commonalities. Leverage Finance Business Partners for root cause review and action plan.
  • Drive data and analytics requirements to enhance business insights.
  • Craft and maintain a single source of truth reporting for M&A alliance tracking and business case forecasts.
  • Developing performance drivers in dashboards
  • Leverage the Finance team capabilities by involving the colleagues with the right expertise at the right time.
Qualifications & experience
  • Bachelor's degree (equivalent) in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • Chartered financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Chartered Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Minimum 3 years in relevant finance business partnering experience in M&A.
  • Experienced in financial Planning and modelling
  • Strong capability Performing Measurement & Report.
  • Experienced in Data analysis and insight as well as financial accounting and reporting.
