A typical day:

ul

li
Responsible for accounting activities (journal postings, account reconciliations & analysis), for margin, operating costs, capital spend and overall financial reporting (profit & loss statement, including key performance indicators (KPIs)) for the Ethanol Business within Downstream Manufacturing

li
Initiate and facilitate regular meetings with the Business key contacts for review of operations (production), operating costs, incurred to date, completion of accruals, variance comments compared to mid-month estimates, budget and forecast
/li

li
Coordinate and complete the compilation of the monthly estimates, quarterly forecasts, annual budget and Long Range Plan for the business
/li

li
Development and maintaining operating cost reporting for the Ethanol business (including comparisons to plans)
/li

li
Support the business unit in tracking planned and unplanned costs with variance analysis while stewarding to budget
/li

Successful candidates will have:

Minimum 3-5 years of business/financial analysis experience - Required

Certified Professional Accounting designation (CMA, CA, CGA, CPA)

Bachelor Degree with a specialization in Accounting/Finance
/li

li
Strong financial accounting & reporting
/li

li
Strong knowledge of SAP and/or other reporting systems
/li

li
Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
/li

Agilus is recruiting for a Financial Analyst in the Energy Space in LLOYDMINSTER, Saskatchewan. Overall, responsible for the financial support of the Canadian Downstream Manufacturing assets in performing business analytical and accounting functions, assure business controls are operating effectively, contribute to business unit initiatives, and function as liaison on corporate processes with a variety of groups A typical day:
