We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized
Financial Administrator
to join our busy law firm. We are a small law firm specializing in intellectual property law and are in need of bookkeeping services, payroll, accounts receivable and other financial services. The position requires in office work, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. Salary commensurate with experience.
Duties
Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements, reports, and records with accuracy and timeliness.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payments.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies, and regulations. Report to KPMG.
Entering invoices into Quickbooks. Manage and maintain accounting records on Quickbooks.
Submit invoices electronically to certain clients.
Payroll processing. Benefits Administration. HST Filing.
Skills
Proven experience in financial administration or accounting roles. 5-7 years of Bookkeeping experience. 2+ years experience with Quickbooks Desktop.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel
Experience processing payroll (issuing pay cheques, T4s, ROEs etc.)
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration. Excellent English written and verbal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Nice-to-have: Experience in a law firm setting. Certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
