We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. This is a 3 months Contract to potential permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative accounting environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing financial processes across multiple entities and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain working papers and accruals for multiple entities.

• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

• Handle tax filings, including GST, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 to manage accounting tasks and streamline workflows.

• Perform detailed financial statement analysis to support decision-making.

• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.

• Provide insights and suggestions for continuous improvement in accounting practices.

• Work independently while maintaining strong communication with key stakeholders.

• Support the onboarding and training of new staff as required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting or a related role.

• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

• Experience using Dynamics 365 or similar accounting software.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Knowledge of bank reconciliations, working papers, and accrual accounting.

• Familiarity with GST tax filings and compliance requirements.

• A keen interest in financial accounting, with a focus on accuracy and detail.
