Shawcor Composite Production Systems (Shawcor) manufactures and sells spoolable composite pipe and poly pipe, used primarily by oil and natural gas producers in applications which benefit from the product\'s pressure and corrosion resistance capabilities. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Financial Accountant is responsible for reconciling sub-ledgers and maintaining general ledger accounts that will assist in the final preparation of financial statements. They will be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting and compliance management. They will serve as a partner to management by providing research and analytical financial information in order to help guide direction of the company.

DUTIES:

  • Maintenance of general ledger accounts and monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet and bank accounts
  • Performing month end procedures and reporting in a multi-site environment
  • Tax Compliance and reporting for all companies
  • Support deliverables required for audit work (external and Bill 198), including but not limited to, preparation of year-end/quarterly working papers
  • Perform other functions which will include but not limited to
o Bank Rec, Cash Forecast and Commission Calculation, Departmental reporting
  • Other duties as assigned

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or business administration
  • CPA preferred or in the last year towards CPA designation.
  • 2 to 3 years of similar experience
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated and results driven; ability to multi-task and prefers to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Effective written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Prefers working within a team environment and providing positive support
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge working with an ER, preferably Oracle
