At Mattr, we have built a true team environment where all employees are empowered to contribute to the success of the company.We want you to join our team!ROLE - FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANTJOB SUMMARYReporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant is accountable for reconciling sub-ledgers and analyzing general ledger accounts leading up to the preparation of the financial statements. Recording of financial transactions will be prepared by the individual while adhering to internal controls. They will also be responsible for providing monthly, quarterly and yearly reports and analysis relating to financial operations. They will serve as a partner to management by providing research and analytical financial information in order to help guide the direction of the company.COMPENSATION:Starting at 60k+BENEFITS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Participating in the month end close process including: Preparing various month end entries, Generating various month end financial reports, Inputting financial details into Longview, Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating unusual itemsProcessing day-to-day transactions during the month for various processesProcess and file sales taxes in Canada and the US, including research, analysis and suggested application of new regulationsSupport deliverables required for audit work (external) and implementation, maintenance and testing of efficient procedural controls (Bill 198)Completing special projects and other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the company.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEDiploma or Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or business administration2-3 years of experience working in a similar capacityCPA preferred or working towards CPA designationSelf-motivated and results-driven; ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentIntermediate Microsoft Excel skills with previous ERP experience (IFS would be an asset)Questions:Do you have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a similar role ?Are you familiar with processing and filing of sales taxes in both Canada and the US?This role is hybrid remote and requires availability to commute to the office location listed.
