Our client is seeking an ambitious, confident, and analytical Accountant to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This position contributes to the overall corporate objectives through the accurate completion and recording of financial reports and all other full-cycle accounting responsibilities. Responsibilities:
- Prepare weekly bank reconciliations.
- Process and record Pre-Authorized Payments.
- Prepare intercompany reconciliations and invoices.
- Complete month-end procedures and reporting requirements.
- Prepare year-end working papers for external financial statement audits.
- Maintain policies and procedure manuals relevant to accounting responsibilities.
- CPA designation or in the final year of the CPA program.
- 4+ years of experience in a progressively responsible accounting role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and experience with Dynamics Great Plains is an asset.
- Strong work ethic, superior attention to detail, and effective time management.
- Positive attitude with excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Exposure within a lending environment (banking and/or leasing) is an asset.
