About the Role
Robert Half is working with a valued client in Mississauga, Ontario seeking a Finance Manager. This role focuses on financial planning, analysis, and leadership support to drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on financial performance and trends.
  • Manage budget allocations, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with policies and legislative requirements.
  • Lead external audit processes and prepare required documentation.
  • Coordinate operating and capital budgets and support long- and short-term business planning.
  • Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare Ministry reporting and supervise finance team performance.
  • Handle ad hoc projects and reporting as needed.
Requirements:
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA designation required.
  • Experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Public sector experience preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of Canadian Accounting Standards (PSAS, ASPE, ASNPO).
  • Expertise in budgeting, financial controls, and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial systems and tools.
