About the Role
Robert Half is working with a valued client in Mississauga, Ontario seeking a Finance Manager. This role focuses on financial planning, analysis, and leadership support to drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on financial performance and trends.
- Manage budget allocations, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with policies and legislative requirements.
- Lead external audit processes and prepare required documentation.
- Coordinate operating and capital budgets and support long- and short-term business planning.
- Assess financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare Ministry reporting and supervise finance team performance.
- Handle ad hoc projects and reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA designation required.
- Experience managing or supervising a team.
- Public sector experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of Canadian Accounting Standards (PSAS, ASPE, ASNPO).
- Expertise in budgeting, financial controls, and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency with financial systems and tools.
