Job Overview:

Responsible for assisting with budgeting, forecasting, tracking, analysis and reporting of various financial data. The position will also be tasked with assisting with the full accounting cycle and financial reporting throughout the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnering & Strategic Support Act as the primary finance liaison for the Marketing team, building strong relationships and influencing decisions through data-driven insights. Provide financial guidance on new product launches and costing the products Planning & Forecasting Working with Marketing Leaders to build initial sales and margin targets by Category using market insights data Supporting the Market insights team to set market share projections which is tracked and reported Financial Modeling & Decision Support Create business cases for new marketing initiatives, including scenario analysis and feasibility assessment Process Improvement & Compliance Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, tools, and systems. Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and procurement processes. Maintain Costing Tool Ensure that the costing tool is up to date with most recent costs Training and guiding both marketing and Product Development teams to ensure they use the tool correctly Measuring, Reporting and providing insights on Category Margins on a monthly basis Calculating monthly category margins using an allocation method Measuring the margin performance vs prior year and budget Presenting the finding back to Marketing on a quarterly basis

The Recipe for Success:

Working towards completion of college diploma or university degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field of study Minimum 2 years of previous experience in an analyst role Strong communication skills (verbal and written), adapting message to suit stakeholder group Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask Ability to prioritize, organize workload, and manage time effectively with a proven ability to work in a high demand and fast faced environment Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision to deliver time bound tasks. Detail-oriented, quick thinking, resourceful, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines/priorities Ability to collaborate with other staff/departments to problem solve and correct issues as they arise Strong MS Office skills required including Pivots and Formula/Functions required Sound judgement and good analytical skills, as well as excellent research skills
