You've found your dream role! Our very successful and fast-growing client in the Aerospace industry is looking for a Finance Manager to shape the finance function, and be a trusted advisor to management as the company grows!

An excellent opportunity has opened up with our new Fraser Valley client in the Aerospace industry. Their rapid growth has created the need for a seasoned accounting professional who can take the reins and steer the company towards financial success. You will have a chance to shape the financial picture of this highly interesting and successful company and make the role your own.

Reporting directly to the President, this role is ideal for an experienced CPA and financial leader. You will have the skills and experience necessary to provide all functions of the financial process including: full cycle accounting, payroll support, A/P, A/R, remittance of all taxes, cash flow management, financial reporting, year end close process, and budgeting / forecasting.

The successful candidate will be a big-picture thinker who enjoys bringing focus to the financial picture of an organization and effectively communicating the story to management. You will have top-notch communication skills, strong analytical powers, and an aptitude for simply getting the job done. In addition, excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to become a financial mentor to leadership will help this individual excel at this role.

Job Requirements:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant designation
  • Minimum 3-5+ years previous related experience, preferably as a Controller or Finance Manager
  • Proficient in MS Office suite - including a strong working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Experience with an accounting system/ERP required
  • Strong with full cycle accounting, A/R, A/P, payroll, financial reporting and working with senior management
  • Knowledge of job costing is considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional attention to detail, efficient and organized
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the company
